Meet the Candidate

I’ve lived in Cambridge for over 35 years and raised a family. My son attended Cambridge Public Schools and graduated in 2023. Cambridge has been very good to us.

I retired from full-time work in the technology industry in 2019 and was drawn into city politics. I still consult and mentor entrepreneurs but also have focus on community organization and ran for City Council in 2023. Last year, I founded the Neighborhood Nine Coalition (N9C) to inform and activate residents on city initiatives that profoundly affect them.  We fill a huge gap in Cambridge city government that gives residents and businesses early warnings and a voice to improve outcomes of city policies.

I have started several successful companies that provide products to customers worldwide and have employed thousands of people from Cambridge and surrounding areas. These companies delivered new ground breaking solutions to large corporations for computer communications, clean energy, cyber security, and AI.

I learned many valuable skills for a City Councillor, such as setting goals, measuring results, applying learning, managing budgets, and motivating people. Cambridge sorely needs to apply these principles in the challenging years ahead. The city must address the new reality of a shift in the tax base from commercial to residential tax payers. To succeed, we must prioritize and manage our billion dollar budget to effectively and efficiently tackle the most critical services for our residents.
